Join Monumental Women at this exciting performance of acclaimed actor / award-winning playwright Renee’ Flemings one-woman show about the Harlem Renaissance sculptor, educator, and civil rights activist Augusta Savage.  Flemings’ play about one of America’s foremost African American women artists portrays the challenges of Savage’s life and illustrates how her art and artistic imagination challenged long held stereotypes and expanded freedom and opportunities for herself and others in her community.
